Early Childhood Development – First Steps Forward: Building Bright Futures from Day One

A Strong Start Changes Everything

At C.H.O.S.E.N. Path, Inc., we know that the first five years of life shape a child’s future. That’s why our First Steps Forward program is dedicated to giving children from under-resourced and historically excluded families the educational foundation they need to succeed in school, and in life.

Why It Matters

Children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds often start kindergarten already behind—sometimes by two years in language, emotional development, and social skills. These early disparities grow over time, leading to lower graduation rates and limited career prospects.

And while programs like Head Start have proven impact, many families face barriers like location, transportation, or lack of capacity.

First Steps Forward bridges that gap.
